We are excited to host another in our series of conversations about the nature of the Self. We invite your questions and experiences.
The Self in IFS is the empty chair. When we ask a part to unblend, i.e., to relax and step aside, there is room to breathe; space for the essence of who we are to be present. We think of the Self in IFS as having a multitude of capacities that can be accessed in our lives and in our IFS work.
This Self can also be seen as being sourced from the absolute, the ultimate, unconditioned and all-encompassing reality that exists beyond dualities and concepts of space and time and the individual self. The non-dual experience refers to only this, only what is happening. The beauty, the mystery, the neutrality.'
How can the gap be bridged between exploring "The Self" in IFS and the non-dual "Self?" Or is there a gap?
What does Non-dual IFS look like?
Does The Self have any qualities?
What is the relationship of parts to The Self?
Is The Self made up of energy?
